3. Bring your friends along for support and to enjoy the evening!

4. Pack your gear: Bring your guitar and tuner (piano and vocal mics are provided).

5. Sign up at the venue on the whiteboard and wait to be called up in order.

6. Perform your original song: One song (4–5 minutes). The drummer and bass player will follow your lead.

8. Want another turn? Sign up again on the whiteboard!

9. Relive the magic: All performances are filmed, so follow IndieJam on social media to see the highlights.

10. Spread the word: Tell your friends and fellow artists about IndieJam!

  • Is this really an event only for performing original songs?
Yes! IndieJam is all about celebrating creativity and showcasing original music. This event is exclusively for artists performing their own songs—no covers allowed. It’s the perfect space to share your unique sound and for audiences to discover fresh talent.
  • How can the house band play along to a song they’ve never heard before?
The house band follows your lead! Start playing, and the drums and bass will join in. Extend your intro if needed to let us lock into your groove, and start singing when you’re ready. If your song changes—like from verse to chorus—a quick signal with body language or eye contact helps, but we’ll stay alert and adapt even without signals. Keep a steady tempo; practicing with a metronome at home can help, but don’t worry about perfection—great music often varies in tempo! If you know the key, let us know, but if not, we’ll figure it out as we go. It won’t go exactly as planned, and that’s the beauty of it. Magic happens in the unexpected moments, and we embrace both the good and the quirky.
  • What if it's not perfect?
We love imperfection! The joy is in the vibrant musical communication, experimenting together, and occasionally falling flat on our faces—it’s all part of the fun.
